The Google Contacts integration is still in beta. During the beta, you can use the integration and provide us with any comments you may have regarding potential bugs, feedback, or improvements. Note that the setup page is only available in English during the beta.

Google Contacts is a contact management tool that allows you to organize, review, and merge your contacts in Google. If you are currently storing your contacts in Google, you can simply import your Google contacts into Sendinblue by following the procedure below.

Set up the Google Contacts integration

Good to know

• The Google Contacts integration for Sendinblue is free. It allows you to import new and old contacts, and if you update your contacts in Google Contacts, it will be reflected in Sendinblue. The sync happens once a day.
• Only one Google Contacts integration can be created for now.
• Contacts created in Sendinblue will not be reflected in Google Contacts.
• Only the first name, last name, and email address of your Google contacts will be imported into Sendinblue. 

Before you start 

• Sign up for a Sendinblue account. You can choose either a free or paid plan, depending on your needs. To learn more and choose the best plan for you, check our dedicated article About Sendinblue pricing plans.
• Make sure your Google Contacts list is complete and clean and that it only contains contacts who consented to receive updates from you. 

Part 1: Set up the Google Contacts Integration

To sync your Google contacts to Sendinblue, start by setting up the Google Contacts integration:

1. Go to the Google Contacts integration setup page.
2. Give a name to the integration.
3. Click Continue.
   

Connect your Google account to Sendinblue

Connect the integration to your Google account to retrieve the data of your contacts: 

1. Click Connect your account. You are redirected to the Google login page. 
2. Log into your Google account and allow Sendinblue to access it.
   
3. Click Continue.

Map your data

Indicate how Sendinblue should match the data of your contacts from your Google account:

1. From the Google Contacts Attributes column, select in the drop-down list the Google Contacts data fields you want to map to Sendinblue contact attributes. To ignore an attribute, choose Do not import from the drop-down list. 
   
2. Once you are done, click Map Attributes.

Select your Sendinblue list

Select in which Sendinblue list you want to import your Google contacts:

1. To import your Google contacts to your Sendinblue contacts, you can either:
   • In the Select a list tab, select an existing list in which you want to import your Google contacts.
   • In the Create a list tab, create a new list in which you want to import your Google contacts.
     
2. Click Use this list.

Confirm the consent of your contacts

Only contacts who have consented to receive updates from you in the last two years can be imported into Sendinblue. That's why, before activating the integration, we ask you to confirm that your import adheres to our conditions:

• If you are importing only contacts who have consented to receive updates from you, check the box.
• If you are importing contacts who have not consented to receive updates from you (e.g. contacts from a purchased or rented list), make sure you clean your Google contact list and remove any contact that does not adhere to our conditions before restarting the integration setup again.
  
  ❗️ Important

  Sendinblue reserves the right to suspend or cancel any email or SMS campaigns sent to contacts that did not consent to receive updates from you.

Activate the integration

To activate the integration, click Save settings and activate app. You will be redirected to the Integrations page, where you can view the newly created integration.

Part 2: Check your contacts

Now that you have connected and configured the Google Contacts integration in Sendinblue, your Google contacts will be imported into Sendinblue. The sync process may take several minutes depending on the number of contacts to import. You will receive an email once the import and sync of your Google contacts to Sendinblue are done.

Once you receive the email, access the list by going to Contacts > Lists and choosing the folder in which you created it. You will see that your Google contacts details have been added to the list of contacts you selected during the Google Contacts integration setup:

Part 3: Start using Sendinblue features

Now that your contacts have been imported to Sendinblue, you can start using our features to connect with your contacts and grow your business:

• Engage your contacts using our friendly email design tool. 
• Automate your marketing using our email, SMS, website tracking, and more. 
• Send one-to-one emails with optimal deliverability and powerful tracking. 
• Talk with your website and social media visitors in real-time. 
• Manage your leads and conversion process. 
• Integrate Sendinblue with your website and favorite apps. 

Part 4: Manage your Google Contacts integration

Edit the integration

To edit the name or setup of your Google Contacts integration:

1. In your Sendinblue account, go to Your account name > Plugins & Integrations.
2. Click Manage Integrations.
3. Click Edit under your integration. You are redirected to the setup page of your integration.
   
   
4. To edit the name of your integration:
   1. Click Edit name.
   2. Edit the name of your integration.
   3. Click Confirm.
      
      
5. To edit the setup of your integration:
   1. Follow the same steps as in the initial setup starting from Connect your Google account to Sendinblue and make your changes.
   2. Once you're done, click Update at the last step to update the setup of your integration.

Activate or deactivate the integration

If you temporarily want to stop your Google Contacts integration, we recommend you deactivate it instead of deleting it.

To deactivate your integration:

1. In your Sendinblue account, go to Your account name > Plugins & Integrations.
2. Click Manage Integrations.
3. Click the toggle button next to the integration.
   
   
4. Click Yes, deactivate it to confirm.

Your integration is now deactivated. While your integration is deactivated, your contacts won't be synced from Google to Sendinblue. To re-enable it, click the toggle button again and follow the same steps as in the initial setup starting from Connect your Google account to Sendinblue. 

Delete the integration

If you permanently want to stop your Google Contacts integration, you can delete it. 

To delete your Google Contacts integration:

1. In your Sendinblue account, go to Your account name > Plugins & Integrations.
2. Click Manage Integrations.
3. Click Delete under your integration.
   
   
4. Click Yes, delete to confirm.

Your integration is now permanently deleted. Once you delete your integration, your contacts won't be synced from Google to Sendinblue anymore.
