Good to know:  SendinBlue currently allows syncing with Yahoo Mail and Outlook. You can also use IMAP to setup a custom email address e.g. email account that uses your domain.

Setting up your First Inbox

Connecting a Yahoo Account

There are a few settings that you should enable in your Yahoo account before setting up your Yahoo based Inbox.

Enable Less Secure Sign In

You need to temporarily "allow apps that use less secure sign in" to authenticate your Yahoo account with SendinBlue Inbox. Here is how you can do it.

  1. Sign-in to your Yahoo account.
  2. Go to your Account Security Settings.
  3. Turn on "Allow apps that use less secure sign in".

Good to know:  If you turn off "Allow apps that use less secure sign in" then you will not be able to use Yahoo email with SendinBlue Inbox. You will need to again turn it on to use Yahoo email with SendinBlue Inbox.

App specific password

If you have 2-Step Verification enabled for your Yahoo account then you should generate an app specific password and use this password when configuring your Yahoo account with SendinBlue.

Here is how:

  1. Sign-in to your Yahoo account.
  2. Go to your Account Security Settings.
  3. Click on Generate app password. (If you cannot see this option then enable 2-step verification by adding a phone number in your account.)
  4. Select Other app in dropdown and add app name as SendinBlue.
  5. Yahoo will generate an app password. Copy this password.
