How to set up your chat widget

❗️ Important
The Chat chatbox will soon be discontinued and replaced by the Conversations app. You will no longer be able to receive messages from your customers via the Chat chatbox. However, the Chat app will remain available for a few months to give you access to your past chats if needed. Conversations offers many features such as chatbot, targeted chats, mobile apps, or saved replies that will help you sell more online. To discover the Conversations app, check our dedicated article Change the way you communicate with your customers.


If you have already installed Marketing Automation before, good news: No need for any additional configuration!

If not, you will need to install Sendinblue tracker first.

This can be installed in just 2 clicks in our WordPress and Prestashop plugins or by using a tag integration solution such as Google Tag Manager.

You can also manually install the tracker onto your website.

We strongly advise you to ask your web developer to install the tracker, which should only take a few minutes.

To check if your chat widget works properly,

  1. From the Chat tab, go to Settings
  2. Go to Messaging channels
  3. Click Website Chatbox
  4. Click Verify

If your chat widget has been properly set up, your screen should look like this:
