Host your landing page on your subdomain - GoDaddy example

Overview

This tutorial is dedicated to hosting your landing page on your subdomain on GoDaddy.

We recommend that you use your main domain name and create a subdomain dedicated to hosting your landing pages. Be as transparent as possible, for example: pages.yoursite.com.

Good to know:
- You shouldn't use a domain or subdomain used elsewhere. For example, it should not be your website's domain, the domain used for your messaging service or the subdomain associated with your dedicated IP.
- When hosting a landing page on your own domain, please remember to use a multi-page landing page. Follow this guide to learn more about managing sub-pages within your multi-page landing page.

Create two new DNS records on GoDaddy

In this example, we will host our landing page on subdomain pages.sendinbluecc.club.

1. Login to your GoDaddy account.

2. Go to your list of domain names, you should see the following windows.

3. Click on the dots ... next to your domain (in this case: sendinbluecc.club), then click on Manage DNS. A page will be displayed as shown below.

4. Click on ADD and you should see the following page:

  • Type: TXT
  • Host: sib-domain
  • TTL: type default configuration (usually it is 1 hour)
  • Text value: paste the value displayed on your SendinBlue account

Click on Save.

5. Click again on ADD to create the second record.

  • Type: CNAME
  • Host: pages
  • TTL: type default configuration (usually it is 1 hour)
  • Text value: cname.sibpages.com

Click on Save.

Verify DNS propagation

Your modifications will be applied immediately to the DNS zone, but please remember that propagation may take up to 72 hours.

Return to your SendinBlue account to verify DNS propagation.
