Host your landing page on your subdomain - Gandi example

Overview

This tutorial is dedicated to hosting your landing page on your subdomain on Gandi.

We recommend that you use your main domain name and create a subdomain dedicated to hosting your landing pages. Be as transparent as possible, for example: pages.yoursite.com.

Good to know:
- You shouldn't use a domain or subdomain used elsewhere. For example, it should not be your website's domain, the domain used for your messaging service or the subdomain associated with your dedicated IP.
- When hosting a landing page on your own domain, please remember to use a multi-page landing page. Follow this guide to learn more about managing sub-pages within your multi-page landing page.

Create two new DNS records on Gandi

In this example, we will host our landing page on subdomain pages.sendinbluecc.pw.

1. Login to your Gandi account.

2. Go to Domains tab. You should see the following window.

4. Now click on ADD to create a new record.

  • Type: TXT
  • TTL: leave default configuration (usually it is 1800 seconds)
  • Name: sib-domain
  • Text value: paste the value displayed on your SendinBlue account.

You should see the following window.

Click on Create.

5. Click again on ADD to create the second record.

  • Type: CNAME
  • TTL: leave default configuration (usually it is 1800 seconds)
  • Name: subdomain (in our example, pages)
  • Text value: cname.sibpages.com. (Do not forget the dot at the end.)

You should see the following window.

Click on Create.

Verify DNS propagation

Your modifications will be applied immediately to the DNS zone, but please remember that propagation may take up to 72 hours.

Return to your SendinBlue account to verify DNS propagation.
